Kelly Osbourne has broken her silence about her decision to quit "Fashion Police," the Huffington Post reports.

Kelly appeared on her Sharon Osbourne's talk show, "The Talk," on Tuesday, March 10 to discuss her departure. Kelly opted to decline from speaking about the drama and controversy surrounding the show, and instead, praised "Fashion Police" and the late Joan Rivers for allowing her to host the show for five years.

"It was the five best working years of my life. I am so grateful for the experience," Kelly gushed. "I can't even. Working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much. I'm excited for my future now. I want to try new things."

Though she did not reveal why she specifically chose to leave, many speculate that the controversy surrounding Giuliana Rancic's "weed" comment about actress Zendaya Coleman might be the reason.

Last month, Rancic commented that Coleman's faux dreadlocks Oscars look probably smells "patchouli oil...or maybe weed."

Coleman caught wind of Rancic's comments and retaliated on Instagram with a long message about embracing her African American heritage while describing the E! News host as ignorant.

"To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or 'weed' is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive. I don't usually feel the need to respond to negative things but certain remarks cannot go unchecked," Coleman wrote, adding: "There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair."

Following the backlash, Rancic issued a public apology to Coleman while Osbourne questioned leaving the show in a Twitter rant addressing the controversy.

Now that she has made her decision to leave, rumors have surfaced that Chrissy Teigen, Amber Rose, Naya Rivera, and Khloe Kardashian are all in the running to possibly replace Kelly.
