Singer Luis Coronel will drive the pace car for the Toyota 120 NASCAR Mexico Series Friday night in Phoenix. Immediately after the race, Coronel will have a post-race concert for fans, according to a press release from Phoenix International Raceway.

Thursday, Coronel excitedly posted on his Instagram a picture of himself holding up a customized driver uniform embroidered with his name.

Along with the post Coronel said, "Tomorrow is the big day! Excited to drive the safety car for the inauguration of #nascarmexicoseries #toyota120 on the @phoenixinternationalraceway and to give a concert at the end of the race. Who will go?? Arrive before 7 p.m. to enjoy the show. #likeaboss."

Coronel will complete an honorary lap prior to the race. To get a good view of Coronel, fans are encouraged to arrive before 7 p.m. local time.

After the race, Coronel will perform a free post-race concert for fans at the Main Stage on the Fan Midway.

Coronel is a 19-year-old singer who is a former boxer. After realizing his true talent was in singing, Coronel quit boxing and began his singing career as a teenager.

Coronel won the New Artist of the Year Award from Billboard in 2014. Both of his albums, 2013's "Con la Frente en Alto" and 2014's Quiero Ser Tu Dueno have both been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Friday's Toyota 120 is the opening race of the NASCAR Mexico series. This will be the only race in the U.S. This is the third year that the Mexico series will open at the Phoenix International Raceway

The Phoenix track is the longest of the Mexico series, each lap will be one mile long. Turns 1 and 2 have 11 degree banking, the apex of the dogleg has 10 to 11 degree banking and Turns 3 and 4 have 9 degree banking.

Coronel has more than 250,000 followers on Twitter and three million likes on Facebook. Fans in the Phoenix area will be excited to see him at the race and with tickets as low as $20, they could come out in packs.
