Celebrity Holiday Fitness Tips: Pilates, Spinning Classes, and Cheat Days
The holidays are here and ladies that means we have to watch those holiday desserts and late night left overs! There's nothing wrong with indulging with our friends and family but we should keep that exercise going so we won't have to worry about gaining some extra-unwanted pounds.
Since celebrities are doomed to stay fit and look fabulous in front of the cameras, they are sharing their fitness plans with us. It seems like exercise is a big part of staying in shape...who would have known?
Kim Kardashian says she just re-visited the diet that she "did a long time ago with [her] dad when [she] was in college-the Atkins diet. It works for me so I just wanted to be healthy and try something that I knew would work". Don't worry that pre-nup hasn't gone into affect yet, you can tell us your surgical secrets "if any" as well. Adam Levine's fiancée Behati Prinsloo tell us; "I do a lot of Pilates and I love yoga. Doing yoga outside or going for a run on the beach".
Kerry Washington also says she does "lots of Pilates and tries to get good sleep and eat local organic fresh foods". Gal pal, Jennifer Hudson says, "People know I've been on this fitness journey for the past two years of my life. Water and staying hydrated has been a really huge thing for me". As simple as that, well that's good to hear. Camila Alves says "cheat days are important [because] at the end of the day its not about how much you're exercising if you don't have the right diet. So my biggest thing is just really having a balanced diet and have one day off where you can cheat and eat whatever you want".
Model Alessandra Ambrosio loves to do spinning classes; "When I have time I hit the gym and for cardio I do a lot of spinning classes. Soul Cycle classes are my go-to because they put the music on really loud, they turn the lights off, you're in your little world and you're sweating a lot". Fellow model Karlie Kloss "thanks her active lifestyle for her hot body". She says "what's natural for me is being active. I'm constantly active. I like to swim, I like to dance, I like to bike ride. Since I was little I started to do ballet very intensely so I'm always very active".
Mix all of these together and find out what works for you. Maybe it's just about a staying active like Karlie says, have your Christmas cheat day (since you already had your thanksgiving) and exercise doing the things you love. Thanks gals.
