"Real Housewives of New York" reality TV star Ramona Singer isn't about to allow being a new divorcee to slow her down.

With a role in the New York City-based AOA Restaurant now on her plate, Singer recently boasted: "Now that I'm single, I'm definitely out there more. I'm having fun."

In a heartfelt post on her own blog, the Bravo TV star opened up about her split with her husband of 20 years, Mario, adding: "Having your husband betray you is the worst feeling in the world, and I wish it on no one."

Singer, who also recently created the brand Ramona Pinot, later added: "I feel like I was emotionally bruised for the past five months by Mario. I was in a fragile state." Singer hinted she always wanted to be open about her marital woes, but at her husband's behest decided against opening up earlier about their lingering issues.

"Mario was extremely adamant about me not speaking about our relationship and his infidelity," she said. "This is so not who I am -- I always speak freely on all subjects. I was allowing my husband to control my behavior."

Singer insists, with the help of her cast mates, she has found enough support to move on and rediscover herself.

"Life is good," she told E! Online. "I have great friends. I have friends that are married friends that are single. [I have] a lot of friends. I embrace all of their warmth and they embrace me. Considering all and all, I'm having fun."

While admitting she's still "healing," Singer insists that doesn't preclude her from beginning a relationship with someone new.

"Just go with the flow and things will happen naturally," she said. "Don't force anything."

The new season of "Real Housewives of New York" premieres on April 7.
