In Sunday's episode of "Last Man on Earth," viewers found out that there is another female survivor on the planet besides Carol. 

Phil marries Carol quickly after realizing she is the only woman left on the planet. In Sunday's episode a second woman, Melissa, is introduced to Phil.

Phil takes an instant liking to Melissa. Melissa thinks it is weird that Phil and Carol live in separate houses when they are married.

Melissa tells Phil about her favorite car, the Volkswagen Beetle. He ends up buying her one instead of fixing Carol's badly damaged front door.

In the previews for the next episode, there is a strong hint that Melissa and Phil end up hooking up. January Jones, who plays the role of Melissa in the show, answered questions on the idea of Melissa and Phil getting together.

"He's married!" she told E! Online. "There are repopulation issues, but I don't think they are suited for each other.  

Since the world's population has been wiped out, Phil likely feels responsible for creating some babies in order to repopulate the Earth.

If Melissa and Phil do not procreate, then Carol and Phil would be the only other choice. Jones does not think they are right for each other though.

"I don't think Carol and Phil are right for each other either," she says.

Jones joked that she and Carol could hook up, but they would not be able to repopulate.

"I think it's one of the funniest aspects of the show. If there's a couple people left on Earth, then there's a very slim chance that they would get along much less be sexually and emotionally attracted to each other," she added.
