God of War 3 Latest News & Release Date: Game is Being Re-Mastered for PlayStation 4, Weapons to Be More Responsive
The God of War franchise started in 2005 with the first game appearing on the PlayStation 2 console. The game then had two more sequels, and now there will be a re-mastered version of "God of War III" for the PlayStation 4.
The re-mastered version of the 2010 game will be altered to appear in full 1080p at 60 frames per second. It will be released July 14 of this year, according to the official PlayStation Blog.
Better visuals will be noticed throughout the game. Combat between enemies will be smoother and weapons will be responsive, according to Gematsu.
New for the re-mastered version will be a photo mode. This will allow gamers to share all of their favorite moments in "God of War III" with their friends.
More attention to realism and lighting will be added to the re-mastered version of "God of War III." Thousands of lights and textures will help create a resolution that is four times greater than the original game.
Some of the creatures in the game will now be rideable. Although the creatures will not want Kratos to ride them, they can be manipulated. Gamers will be able to use the creatures to cross gaps in maps and attack enemies.
New weapons will appear in the game including the Cestus. The Cestus is a powerful metal gauntlet with amazing strength. Other weapons will allow Kratos to inflict maximum damage on all those that oppose him.
It has been five years since "God of War III" came out. That means a new, satisfying ending to the story will be presented in the re-mastered edition.
Following the July 14 debut in North America, "God of War III Re-Mastered" will come to Europe July 15 and in the United Kingdom on July 17. It will sell for $39.99 in North America.
