Bobbi Kristina Brown Transferred to Medical Rehab Facility
Though Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to be under a medically induced coma and unresponsive, she has been transferred to a medical rehab facility.
TMZ reports that on Thursday, Brown was taken out of Emory University hospital and transferred to a rehab facility in Atlanta.
Brown's transfer follows her Emory University Hospital doctors' attempt to slowly remove her off life support to see if she responds. Unfortunately, Brown did not respond and was transferred.
TMZ claims Bobbi Kristina Brown's father, Bobby Brown, and her aunt, Pat Houston, were spotted outside of Emory University hospital carrying Bobbi Kristina Brown's belongings to the new rehab facility.
According to TMZ, the rehab facility is better equipped to give Bobbi Kristina Brown the long-term care that she needs.
Brown's rehab facility transfer comes on the heels of her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, entering rehab following his alarming intervention on Dr. Phil.
Dr. Phil staged an intervention with Nick Gordon and his mother Michelle Gordon to discuss his struggling mental state following the death of Whitney Houston and the near fatal drowning of Bobbi Kristina Brown. They also discussed Nick Gordon's suicidal tweets, E! News reports.
Gordon's mother revealed he was present at the time of Houston's death and Brown's near fatal drowning and has been harboring guilt ever since.
"As we sit here right now, my son's life hangs in the balance," Michelle told Dr. Phil. "When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, 'Mom, why couldn't I do it? I couldn't get air into her lungs.'"
Following the intervention, Gordon was immediately rushed to rehab for substance abuse.
No date has been given for when Gordon will exit rehab.
However, Dr. Phil has openly told ABC News that he wants to have another sit-down with Gordon once he is sober.
"I want him to sit down, clear-eyed, sober, focused, and answer some very genuine and focused questions about what he knows and how he feels about it," he said. "[Right now] he is out of control."
