The next episode of "American Crime," "Episode Four," has Mark coming out to support his parents.

"Russ and Barb's youngest son, Mark (guest star David Hoflin), arrives in Modesto in support of his estranged parents," the official description said, according to Television Promos. "At the same time, the families of both victims begin to lose control of their emotions as they hear that Carter's defense team has been granted a bail hearing due to new information."

In the same episode, which will air on March 26 on ABC, Carter has been told by his sister that he has to leave Aubry alone. She will be attending an NA meeting because her parents have pressured her to do so. 

In the previous episode, Jenny is still mad at her dad, Alonzo, for allowing her brother to get thrown into juvenile hall, according to The Root.

Alonzo is approached by a news crew asking them about his son's involvement in Matt's murder. Alonzo tells them they should be worried about Hector, the other person involved in the crime, because he is "an illegal."

At the juvenile hall, Tony is bullied. He is forced to join a game of pickup basketball but has the ball thrown right at his face, giving him a bloody nose. He is getting bullied when a Latino comes in and rescues him.

Tony is still mad at his dad and really does not want him to visit him.

Barb wants Matt's murder to be classified as a hate crime, so she meets with the district attorney. The DA tells her there is no evidence to support her claim. Barb says Carter, the man accused of killing her son, has made claims that "he hates white people."

Russ is looking for a job. He is desperate for money after losing his job in Arizona. He applies to be a gardener. The interviewer asks how long Russ plans on staying in town; he says he does not know.

Hector is in rehab recovering from the police-inflicted wound he sustained. He learns he will walk with a limp forever due to the injury. He also learns that in six weeks he will be deported back to Mexico. Hector's roomate in the jail tells him to sell drugs to the prisoners while he is still there.

Carter gets a visit from his sister Aliyah in jail. Aliyah tells him to get his life together.

Aliyah tells Carter that she will help him get a lawyer that will defend him properly. Carter becomes upset and tells her not to visit him anymore.

At the end of the episode, Alonzo finds out that Tony will not be charged with murder, but he will be kept at juvenile hall to see if he can improve his behavior.
