'Nashville' News & Spoilers: There Are 2 More Episodes Before 'Nashville' Hits the Road
The stars of ABC's hit drama "Nashville" are set to once again embark on a tour that will take them to eight American cities; but before they do, fans of the Callie Khouri-produced show will get to see its newest episode, "This Just Ain't a Good Day for Leavin'," which airs on April 8.
In the series' 60th installment, fading country music darling Rayna Jaymes plans to throw a star-studded baby shower for former teen sensation Juliette Barnes but ends up getting pulled into Sadie Stone's "drama," ABC revealed. So Barnes turns around and "starts her own mama drama," the channel added.
Meanwhile, Bucky Dawes and Luke Wheeler ponder signing a contract with rising singer and songwriter Ron Pope, who gets his very own "Nashville" cameo appearance. Stone "finds a kindred spirit in an old friend," ABC noted, and Gunnar Scott is unhappy about Scarlett O'Connor's evolving relationship with Dr. Rand.
After "This Just Ain't a Good Day for Leavin'," there will be one final episode -- titled "Nobody Knows But Me" -- before the television stars trade the screen for the stage, Taste of Country revealed: Beginning April 29, Chris Camarck, Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Aubrey Peeples and Lennon & Maisy will hit the road and perform songs from the series.
The "Nashville" tour kicks off at New York's Beacon Theater before heading to Boston (May 2 at Wang Theater); Washington (May 3 at Constitution Hall); Chicago (May 5 at Rosemont Auditorium); Minneapolis (May 6 at Northrup Auditorium); San Francisco (May 8 at Warfield Theater); Los Angeles (May 9 at Nokia Theatre); and Phoenix (May 10 at Comerica Theater).
Dawn Soler, ABC Entertainment Group's senior vice president of TV music, said he cannot wait for the unique encounters along the way.
"It is so exciting and rewarding to see our amazing cast blossom as live artists and be able to have that intimate relationship with our 'Nashville' fans," Soler said. "Taking 'Nashville' on the road, along with our 'On the Record' series, offers our viewers a complete and authentic experience," she added.
