Chris Brown declined to join then-girlfriend Karrueche Tran for her much publicized recent sit down with relationship guru Iyanla Vanzant on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

According to HollywoodLife.com, staffers from Vanzant show claimed they approached the "Loyal" singer about appearing on the show, but he quickly declined.

"My understanding is that my production team did reach out to his publicists or management team and they were not interested in  having the conversation," Vanzant told theGrio. "That's my first hand information that is what was reported to me when I asked would he be willing to sit down."

Tran is scheduled to appear on the March 28 episode of the show, where she is expected to "tell all" about her volatile relationship with Brown, which recently ended after it became publicly known Brown had fathered an infant daughter with another woman.

Brown has also served time behind bars stemming from his 2009 attack on then girlfriend Rihanna, prompting Vanzant to instantly ask Karrueche if physical violence was ever an issue in her relationship with him.

"Not to my awareness," Vanzant told reporters in answer to the lingering question. "We never talked about that at all. I never heard her say anything about that. Domestic doesn't just have to be physical, it can be emotional, it can be spiritual, it can be psychological; violence in general is not just physical. From what I spoke to Karrueche about, there was never any physical violence between them."

Vanzant also adressed the ongoing rumor that has it she was at one point thrown out by Karrueche after she became hot and bothered over the nature of her questioning.

"That's not true," she said. "Let me set the record straight. Her management was not happy with the line of questioning because... if I'm going to support you in healing growing and learning, I gotta ask the hard questions. It was her management -- it was not Karrueche. I left the house ... and then Karrueche and I spoke, and we went back into the interview."

While Brown is rumored to be seeking a reconciliation with his ex, reports are she has been slow to respond to any of that and may just be seeking a complete dissolution of their relationship.

"She's in a position to give Chris back all the material possessions he's ever given her in exchange for her privacy and her heart," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "She just wants to be left alone so that she can heal and repair her broken heart. Her heart hasn't stopped beating and she'll be all right. She really just wants to forget she ever met him."
