Enrique Iglesias Singer: 'Bailando' Singer Posts About 'Positive Vibes' After Being Spotted on a Boat Ride With Anna Kournikova
Maybe it's the success of his concert tour or his enduring love for Anna Kournikova, his girlfriend of 13 years; whatever his secret, Spanish pop star Enrique Iglesias is all about optimism these days.
"Positive mind, positive vibes, positive life," he commented on Monday on an Instagram photo that shows him during one of his trademark performances.
And the 39-year-old singer's message seems to have resonated with his fans: His remark garnered almost 60,000 likes in a matter of 24 hours.
On Sunday, Iglesias was spotted with Kournikova as the two enjoyed a boat ride in Miami, close to their home -- a $26 million waterfront mansion they have owned since October 2013, the Daily Mail reported. The musician and the former tennis star were joined by Iglesias' half-sister, Ana Boyer, and her boyfriend, Fernando Verdasco.
Verdasco, a Spanish tennis ace, is set to play the Miami Open this week. But that did not keep him or his hosts from stopping the boat and taking a dip in the crystal clear turquoise water, the British newspaper added.
Also contributing to the vocalist's all-around-happiness may be his recent decision to fund the "Enrique Iglesias Scholarship," which will be given to an Ibero-American student studying at Boston's renowned Berklee College of Music.
The pop star joined forces with the Fundación Cultural Latin Grammy to fund the $200,000 award, El Salvador's La Prensa Gráfica detailed.
"Not everyone gets to do what they love, and to be able to help someone achieve their goals is extremely gratifying," Iglesias noted as he presented the project. He added that he wants to "support the next generation of Latin musicians," Fox News Latino added.
Students who are interested in applying for the scholarship still have time, as applications close on April 10.
They are eligible if they reside in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, the United States (including Puerto Rico), Uruguay or Venezuela.
