Nintendo will partner with DeNA to help bring its titles to mobile devices.

DeNA said that it hopes to generate up to $25 million per month from mobile games, Game Spot reports.

"We want to create games that will be played by hundreds of millions of people," DeNA chief executive Isao Moriyasu told Reuters.

DeNA had said it wants to beat out Candy Crush and gain over 100 million daily active users playing Nintendo mobile games.

In order to get such a following, DeNA plans to create a catalog of popular Nintendo games, according to Moriyasu.

"We want to create multiple hit games rather than aiming to succeed with just one powerful IP element," he said.

Moriyasu admits that he has not discussed financial targets yet with Nintendo and how his company plans to help get to that $25 million-per-month figure.

"We haven't talked to Nintendo about targets, but at DeNA, our best-selling game brought in ¥3 billion yen a month, and we want to surpass that," Moriyasu said.

Moriyasu was referring to the smartphone game Kaito Royale. The game has since been transformed into a TV series, Reuters notes.

Nintendo and DeNA will have to discuss how they will share the revenue for the mobile games, but analysts have told Reuters that Nintendo will likely receive 70 percent of the proceeds.

The first DeNA-Nintendo mobile game is set to be released this year. Nintendo has not announced any projects projects yet.

Nintendo will create these games specifically for mobile devices. The company said that it will not just convert the games from their original forms to mobile.

Nintendo is exploring several different payment options for the mobile games. They will have to decide if they want to use a "free-to-play" method of access or another method.

Investors in Nintendo have been pleased with the company's decision to go mobile; shares have increased by 30 percent lately. Nintendo has also announced they are working on a new console, currently code-named the "NX." Nintendo will not start talking about "NX" until 2016.
