2015 Radio Disney Music Awards Nominees & Presenters: Fifth Harmony, 'Teen Beach 2' Cast & Carly Rae Jepsen to Present Awards
The Radio Disney Awards will showcase the best in today's music. Several Disney Channel stars will be on hand for the event, which airs April 26.
The cast of Disney Channel's original movie "Teen Beach 2" will present an award during the show and so will members of the girl band Fifth Harmony, according to Variety.
Also set to present awards are singer Carly Rae Jepsen, Chelsea Kane from ABC Family's "Baby Daddy," pop trio Sweet Suspense, country singer Kelsea Ballerini and the cast of ABC's comedy "Black-ish."
Actress and singer Zendaya will host the show which will be taped on April 25 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
"On stage and off, Zendaya brings intelligence, thoughtfulness and honesty -- and an effortless cool factor -- to everything she does, all qualities that are appreciated by generations of kids and tweens, and especially their parents," said Phil Guerini, vice president of programming and general manager for Radio Disney.
Zendaya is excited for the show.
"We're going to have a great show. ... Plus, I'm nominated again for artist with the best style so I better wear a good outfit!" Zendaya said.
Nick Jonas and Becky G will perform at the show. Becky G performed at the 2014 Radio Disney Awards.
"I'm most looking forward to watching the performances," said presenter Garrett Clayton, star of "Teen Beach Movie" and the "Teen Beach 2″ sequel. "Last year Zendaya and Becky G were amazing."
Clayton and his "Teen Beach 2" cast mates Grace Phipps, Chrissie Fit and Jordan Fisher will be presenting an award and will be at the show to promote their TV movie that premieres this summer.
Fit and Fisher both admit that they voted for the band R5. R5 is led by "Teen Beach" co-star Ross Lynch.
One Direction, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, who have been particularly successful in the past year, are also nominated for an award.
The 90-minute awards will air on April 26 on the Disney Channel.
