‘iZombie’ Season 1 Episode 4 Spoilers: Clive Recognizes the John Doe in the Morgue, Won't Help Liv Solve Murder
In the upcoming fourth episode of "iZombie," "Liv and Let Clive," Clive is able to identify a John Doe in the morgue as being one of his former criminal contacts.
Clive initially met this John Doe character during his days on the vice squad, Spoilers Guide reports.
Meanwhile, Liv is surprised that Clive chose not to help her in solving the murder. So she and Ravi investigate on their own without the help of Clive, which inevitably causes a rift in Liv and Clive's relationship.
In addition to having an issue with Clive, Liv also develops an issue with Major when he begins searching for a roommate, which leads Liv to believe that he's considering a co-ed, says SpoilersGuide.
KDramaStars adds that David Anders will guest star in "Liv and Let Clive." John Kretchmer will be directing the episode and Kit Boss is named as the writer.
Since its debut last month, "iZombie" has garnered an ever-growing fan base and much success.
"With each episode that airs, 'iZombie' is gaining a stronger following," KDramaStars reports, adding, "The new CW series starring Malcolm Goodwin and Rose McIver is off to a great start, with favorable ratings and good reviews. After tonight's third episode, fans are already eagerly awaiting the premiere of Episode 4."
Prior to the show's season premiere, "iZombie" creator Rob Thomas explained that "iZombie" would contrast greatly from his other successful series, "Veronica Mars."
In an interview with TVLine, Thomas explained that the "iZombie" protagonist, Liv, is very different from Veronica in "Veronica Mars."
"[Liv] is more naturally a hopeful person," Thomas explained. "When I would talk to the Veronica Mars writing staff about how to write Veronica, I would say, 'Write her like a porcupine.' She had a lot of awful things [happen to her]. She's a world-weary, cynical, Raymond Chandler-esque gumshoe [who] sees the glass half-empty -- hopefully, charmingly so."
And unlike Veronica, who experienced a lot of trauma in her life, Liv's biggest obstacle is that she becomes a zombie, Thomas explained. He also added that Veronica is more of a rule-breaker than Liv.
"iZombie" airs Tuesdays on CW at 9 p.m. ET.
