Grand Theft Auto Online's new content creator feature will be released this week.
Rockstar Games has announced the release of the Deathmatch & Race Creators Beta. The update will be available as early as today, Dec. 10.
Online gamers will be able to create their own Jobs using some of the same tools that game developers use. Races can be held on the streets, in the skies and on the waters of Los Santos and Blaine County. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Race, GTA Race and Rally Race are options under the new feature.Gunfights, dog fights, and more are fair game. Once your Job is created, you can share it with other players on the Rockstar Games Social Club. The best gamer-created content will become a Rockstar Verified Job.
The update comes free for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users.
"The Deathmatch and Race Creators will come to you via a free update, and you'll need to have a Social Club account that is linked to your Xbox Live Gamertag or PlayStation Network ID to use them. The Creators are in Beta so please help us iron out any flaws and bugs via the GTA Online email address," Rockstar Games said.
Rockstar Games also announced some more new content that will be coming soon.
Sometime in December, the developer will release Capture.
"A proper GTA twist on classic capture the flag, Capture mode brings territory infiltration and a new form of team-versus-team treachery into GTA Online," Rockstar Games said.
Up to four teams will be able to use whatever they can get their hands on to win, including trucks, weapons, buses and contraband. There will be four different Capture modes: Raid, Content, Hold and GTA. More details about Capture are expected to be released next week.
The New Year will bring even more new content. Rockstar Games said that 2014 will see the release of new GTA Online Heists as well as Grand Theft Auto 5 Story Mode Updates that will continue the stories of Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
