Fantasy Football Week 15 Preview and NFL Playoff Picture: Players to Watch, Start, Sit
Snowy conditions at this past weekend's football games changed the dynamic of both the NFL playoff picture and the fantasy football playoffs.
At Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the Eagles started slow against the visiting Lions but scored 34 points in the second half to fly away with the 34-20 victory in one of multiple snowy games this week. However, fantasy owners did not necessarily get what they expected.
Reggie Bush slipped in the pregame warms and was unable to play in the game, paving the way for backup Joique Bell. Fantasy owners who relied on Bush were thoroughly disappointed when they found a zero next to his name, especially with the Fantasy Football playoffs getting underway.
Instead of determining which players to start or sit this late in the season, we decided to list players to watch. It seems more suitable to watch much closer at the players at this point in the season considering that some teams may decide to rest key starters in the final weeks.
Players to watch this week:
Robert Griffin III: Head Coach Mike Shanahan recently said that he might consider resting RGIII for the remainder of the season to avoid any kind of disastrous injury. With this in mind, make sure you check your lineup before the game and have a backup quarterback handy in case you need to make the last-minute switch.
Rob Streater: If you're in the playoffs, you probably have Streater on your bench. However, despite the fact that Streater has not put up big numbers as a starter, that could change. Raiders receiver Denarius Moore will be returning this week and teams will have to make sure to have both players covered; Streater had much better numbers when Moore was in the lineup, which could bode well for fantasy owners who need to start Streater this week.
Carson Palmer: The Cardinals QB has enjoyed a nice bounce-back season, but he recently suffered an elbow injury and was questionable this past week. Make sure he is healthy before proceeding with him this week.
