Watch 'The Price Is Right' Model Accidentally Give Contestant Winning Answer to Win a Car [Video]
It didn't take much effort for a contestant on "The Price Is Right" to win a brand new car after one of the game show's models mistakenly gave away the winning answer before the game was over.
The slipup occurred on Thursday's episode of the long-running CBS game show when contestant Andrea was trying to guess the correct price of a brand new Hyundai Sonata SE in order to win the car, reported CNBC.
On the first of her three chances to name the price of the car, Andrea guessed that it was $19,849. That's when show model Manuela Arbelaez pulled down a card from the guessing board, revealing that that number was incorrect.
However, instead of giving Andrea the opportunity to make another guess, she accidentally pulled the cover off of the winning pick, which was $21,960.
"I won it!" Andrea screamed shortly after show host Drew Carey and Arbelaez realized what just happened.
While Andrea was overjoyed in her win, Arbelaez looked shocked and embarrassed by her mistake.
"Congratulations! Manuela just gave you a car! Way to go!" Carey laughingly explained to Andrea. "The game is over, folks!" he told the crowd.
Arbelaez then attempted to hide behind the game board in shame.
Following the incident, the model made light of her expensive blooper in a series of tweets, writing: "Sometimes you wake up and feel like giving someone a car! #PriceIsRight" and "Most expensive gift I've given someone #PriceIsRight #GivingAwayCarsUpInHere #YoureWelcomeAndrea."
She also tweeted: "I don't usually give expensive gifts, but when I do is a $21,960 CAR. #YoureWelcomeAndrea #WokeUpFeelingGenerous," followed by "Hey @Oprah now I know what it feels like to be you! Whenever you feel like giving cars away on the show let me know. @PriceIsRight."
In addition, she made sure to clarify that she was not reprimanded for her blunder, tweeting: "For those of you asking: the producers and @DrewFromTV couldn't have been more supportive and understanding. I'm not in trouble :) phew!"
