Fox 'New Girl' Season 4 Episode 20 Spoilers: Jess Desperately Tries to Impress Her Boss [Watch]
The new episode of "New Girl" finds school teacher Jess (Zooey Deschanel) desperately trying to impress her boss after she invites and escorts her to a charity golf tournament.
Entitled "Par 5," Spoilers Guide reports the Season 4 Episode 20 show also focuses on Winston (Lamorne Morris) meeting a stunning woman he instantly feels a need to deceive.
"New Girl" centers on the life and times of Jessica "Jess" Day, a somewhat eccentric, free-spirited educator in her early 30s, who moves into an apartment loft with three single men after catching her boyfriend cheating. While at times they find her behavior to be a bit odd, Jess for the most part gets along swimmingly with all her roommates.
Deschannel was nominated for a People's Choice Favorite Comedic TV Actress Award for her role this year, going up against a field of competitiors that incuded Amy Poehler, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Melissa McCarthy and Sofia Vergara.
Over the years, the show has been nominated for five Golden Globe and five Primetime Emmy Awards.
Also starring Hannah Simone as Jess' fashion model best friend Cecilia "CeCe" Parekh and Daman Wayans Jr. as Ernie "Coach" Tagliaboo, the show airs on Fox on April 7.
Earlier this month, Fox execs announced the show will be returning for a fifth season. According to TVLine, production on the new season has already started.
"Four seasons in, 'New Girl' continue to be one of the smartest and most relatable comedies on television," said Fox entertainment president David Madden. "The writing is razor-sharp, the ensemble is consistently hilarious, and we couldn't be more proud. We absolutely love this show and we're so excited to bring it back for Season Five."
Athlete J.J. Watt guest starred in a recent episode of "New Girl," according to E! News. In a video posted by Fox, Watt explained he's been a fan of the show for some time.
