Paris Hilton recently had an interview with Yahoo! Style and opened up about her thoughts on Kim Kardashian's success.

Entertainment Tonight notes that prior to being a fashion mogul and reality TV star, Kim Kardashian started off as Hilton's personal assistant.

Hilton and Kardashian were childhood friends, and as Hilton's fame began to rise, she chose Kardashian to be her stylist and assistant.

However, as the years went by, Kardashian's fame went on to surpass Hilton's, says Entertainment Tonight.

Still, Hilton harbors no jealousy towards Kardashian and feels happy to have inspired the "Keeping up With the Kardashians" star.

"We've known each other since we were little girls, we've always been friends," Paris told Yahoo! Style. "It's nice to inspire people, so yeah, I'm really proud of her and what she's done though."

And though Hilton and Kardashian are not as close as they once were, they still keep in touch from time to time and maintain an amicable relationship.

"I saw her a few weeks ago in New York and we were hanging out," Hilton continued. "Kim and Kanye] are so cute together. They're the perfect couple. [North West] is so cute. She's always wanted to have a family so I'm really happy for her."

In addition to discussing her friendship with Kim, Hilton also discussed her friendship with Nicole Richie who she once starred on "The Simple Life" with.

In 2003, Hilton and Richie starred in "The Simple Life," which Hilton describes as "one of the first reality shows."

Though it's been many years since starring on the show, Hilton revealed that she still watches reruns

"[Nicole and I] had no idea what we were getting ourselves into," she recalled. "Nicole and I would just have fun with wherever we would go with, whoever we would be with, any job we had to do."

Like Kardashian, Hilton claims to still keep in touch with Richie.
