Reports circulated about One Direction member Niall Horan's rumored love affair with Hungarian model, Barbara Palvin getting serious. However, a recent interview with Niall's mother proved otherwise.

The two reportedly went out on a movie date and watched The Hunger Games Catching Fire in London. The couple strived to maintain a low profile with Niall trying to hide his face with a baseball cap and Barbara entering the cinema first.

According to Unreality TV, Niall has even introduced the Hungarian model to band mates Harry Styles and Liam Payne as his date. This led to rumors of the couple being "serious" and perhaps on a "steady relationship."

It seems that the fans are not the only ones shocked to hear of the news. In fact, a report says that the One Direction member's mother is not aware of the supposed "serious relationship" her son has with Barbara.

Niall's mother told reporters that her son is still single and is not yet ready to settle down.

"I don't think Niall is ready yet for a serious girlfriend. He's a real happy-go-lucky lad. He wants to enjoy life and isn't ready to settle into a steady relationship as far as I know just yet," she said.

Niall's mom also added "When he has something to tell me, he'll tell me." The statement hints that although fans and the online community already regard Niall and Barbara as an item, the former has yet to tell his mother about it.

"He's a good gentle character himself. There are in that position where they'll meet lots of people and girls. A girl he'll go for dinner with here and to the pictures with there - but I'm not sure they are all girlfriends," his mother added.

The day after the couple's reported movie date, Barbara took on to Niall's twitter saying:

"Hunger games buddie."

Barbara and Niall first met at the Class of 92 movie afterparty in London. Reports say that the two exchanged numbers and managed to hook up after.
