Dwayne Johnson Stops Car to Meet fan Fighting Cancer [Pics]
Dwayne Johnson posted a photo to his Instagram account on Easter Sunday of himself posing with his fan Nick Miller, who is currently fighting cancer, E! News reports.
In the photo's caption, Johnson explained that Miller and his friends stopped him while he was driving his car.
After a moment of questioning whether he should stop or not, Johnson made the decision to stop his vehicle and see what the kids needed.
That is when Miller told Johnson that one of his life goals was to meet the wrestler and tell him how he inspired him to continue his cancer fight.
Johnson revealed Miller currently suffers from Hodgkin's lymphoma and has undergone intense chemotherapy and stem cell transplant treatments.
Since being diagnosed, Miller aspired to one day meet the wrestler and tell him how much of an inspiration he is, Johnson wrote.
After taking a selfie with Miller and learning about his story, Johnson revealed that he became emotional and was humbled by the experience.
"As I'm drivin' I start shaking my head (and tearing up) at how fragile life is and how amazing and cool the universe was to make this meeting happen between myself and this special kid Nick Miller," he added. "Let's always take a moment to count our blessings.. cause there's always something to be grateful for. Happy Easter y'all."
Prior to his encounter with Miller, Johnson shared another inspirational message with his Instagram followers approximately 8 months ago, Entertainment Tonight reports.
At the time, Johnson's mother and his cousin were struck head on by a drunk driver, but fortunately, survived the car accident with very minor bruising.
Johnson Instagrammed a photo of the crash and said that though he was initially vengeful toward the drunk driver, he redirected that energy and focused on loving his family and being thankful they survived.
"First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them," he wrote. "But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived through this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them."
