No, this isn't an extra from "Trainspotting" -- this is British actor Jack O'Connell, and even though he's best known for starring in the Angelina Jolie vehicle Unbroken, he's now the latest offering into the rumor mill of potential Star Wars Episode VII cast members. 

SlashFilms has the exclusive scoop that they spoke to "very reliable sources" that confirmed that O'Connell is being considered for one of the lead roles in the film. Supposedly, he had a "meeting" with director JJ Abrams that "went well," and he even auditioned for a part that Matt Smith also auditioned for.

  • Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.

  • A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.
  • Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn' t need to be particularly fit.
  • A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.
  • Forty something male, fit, military type.
  • Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn't need to be fit. 

Now, while this list doesn't give any character names, it does end the speculation that the new trilogy will focus on Jacen and Jaina Solo, the twin Jedi children of Han Solo and Princess Leia Skywalker Organa-Solo. Consultant Lawrence Kasdan has already stated that they want to "start fresh." 

Meanwhile, according to HNGN, Disney (the new owner of Lucasfilm and thus, the new Star Wars franchise) aims to be bigger than Marvel Films (also a Disney acquisition). When it comes to Star Wars and Indiana Jones brands being integrated into the Magic Kingdom, Rasulo said "the model will be closely aligned to how it has treated another one of its major purchases," according to The Wrap.
