'Forever' Season 1 Finale Spoilers: John Noble Stars as Worldly Adventurer Aubrey Griffin
"Forever" show creators have inked "Sleepy Hollow" star John Noble to star in their first-year season finale.
Entertainment Weekly reports Noble will star as Aubrey Griffin, "the world's foremost expert on antiquities and adventure." The website adds through his numbers book, Griffin is largely viewed by all his contemporaries as a "mythological mix of Indiana Jones and James Bond."
Amazingly, given all his worldly charms, Griffin is confined to a wheelchair that more or less limits him to the confines of his ritzy Central Park West dwellings.
The magazine adds "that all changes" when a museum curator is found dead and in possession of a Roman dagger. Griffin quickly finds that the blade in question is the same knife used in the killing of Emperor Julius Caesar. Adding to all the intrigue is his finding that the knife now harbors a curse of death for all those who come into contact with it.
The finale starring Noble comes on the heels of the episode entitled "Best Foot Forward" that found Abe Morgan (Judd Hirsch) finally getting a potential lead on the whereabouts of his mom, Abigail.
Surprisingly, Abe decides not to share that news with his father Henry (Ioan Gruffudd) for fear he may "sink" into another of his bouts of depression. Suffering through her own episodes of despair over the thought of growing older, Abigail went missing earlier in the season.
Episode 20 also found Det. Jo Martinez (Alana de la Garza) and Dr. Morgan seemingly growing closer. The series also stars Joel David Moore as Lucas Wahl, Donnie Keshawarz as Det. Hanson and Lorraine Toussaint as Lt. Joanna Reece.
Based on the life and times of New York City medical examiner Dr. Henry Morgan, "Forever" chronicles the doctor's study of the dead for greater clues about his own immortality.
The ABC aired series premiered during the 2014-2015 fall season. According to Spoiler TV, earlier this year fans began waging an online petition campaign aimed at trying to secure a full second season of episodes.
