Vin Diesel Sings 'See You Again' as Tribute to Paul Walker [Watch]
During a recent interview, Vin Diesel broke out in a verse of "See You Again" – the "Furious 7" song dedicated to Paul Walker –while reminiscing about his friend and cast mate.
According to HollywoodLife, the song performed on the movie's sidetrack by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, powerfully resonated with tDiesel, 47, as talked about the memory of his friend. The website adds when Diesel was asked to open the interview with a song, "He pulls out his phone and scrolls through it until he finds 'See You Again' from the soundtrack and then hits play only to sing along for the camera."
Both Diesel and Walker are heavily featured in the music video for the song, billed as a compilation of shots from all seven films from the "Furious" franchise. At the end of the video, the two stars take "one last ride" down the highway together, with Walker's car getting off at an exit while Diesel's vehicle motors off without him.
The 40-year-old died in a fiery, single-car crash on a California highway in late November of 2013. At the time Walker's 2005 Porsche Carrera GT crashed, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department investigators said "speed was a factor."
According to Today, the driver of the car, Walker's friend Roger Rodas, was also killed. Authorities later revealed the vehicle crashed into a light pole and tree and instantly burst into flames. Walker was rumored to be on hiatus from shooting a "Fast & Furious" movie at the time of the crash.
In the days following the crash, Universal Pictures released a statement reading: "All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the FAST AND FURIOUS films, and to countless fans."
