LG G4 Specs: New Smartphone will Have a Top-Notch Camera
LG's newest smartphone is coming out later this month in separate events on April 28 or 29, depending on time zones. The LG G4 is highly anticipated because its camera will be top-notch, CNet reports.
LG bested Samsung by just 0.1 in terms of camera aperture. The LG's f/1.9 lens will be slightly wider than the impressive f/1.8 lens on the Samsung Galaxy S6. The smaller the F-stop number is, the more light a camera can take in, making challenging photos easier to capture, according to The Verge.
Besides the top-of-the-line camera, the G4 is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.
A clear and large screen will be included with the G4. The screen will be 5.5 inches in size and have a Quad HD LCD display of 2,560x1,440 pixels. LG says that this screen will be 30 percent brighter and have a 50-percent higher contrast rate than conventional QHD LCD panels. It will also have richer and more accurate colors.
Also regarding the screen, there will likely be improvement in the touchscreen thanks to new technology from LG. The sensor is embedded within the LCD which means greater sensitivity and a thinner build.
The design for the G4 looks like a combination of what the G3 and the G Flex 2 looked like. The button configuration on the rear will be similar and it will have a small curve in the display. There might also be a stylus included with the G4.
Like Samsung, LG customizes Android software put inside their phones. The company recently added new custom software for Android phones and the G4 will be the first to see it. The UX 4.0 interface will be streamlined and more user friendly. Alerts and notifications are said to get "smarter" too.
