Kim Kardashian Pregnant Weight Loss: Bikini Body Photoshopped for Us Weekly
Yesterday, Us Weekly printed a photo of Kim Kardashian on their cover claiming that she got her bikini body back. The photo showed Kardashian looking pretty slim for a new mother, but according to experts, the body is most likely a product of Photoshop.
"MY BODY IS BACK! NO GIMMICKS, NO SURGERY!" the headline on the Us Weekly cover said next to two photos of Kardashian in a white bikini.
Kardashian may not have needed surgery, but experts say she did need Photoshop to get the body shown on the tabloid cover.
"I qualitatively think that it looks like they airbrushed the neck -- not the head ... she has a naturally small head -- which makes her head look 'off' and her hips," Chris Spagnuolo, editorial director of Guyism.com, told Fox News. "[Her] waist doesn't look normal, especially compared to all of the other full body bikini photos of her."
Bill Swift, an Egotastic.com editor, agreed that the picture was "touched up heavily," but pointed out that the practice is "fairly standard, especially for covers."
"The hair obviously matches her current look. I looked at a bunch of other Kim Kardashian bikini photos and didn't see this same pose, however, it's not uncommon to use old photos and substitute them for new," Swift said. "She has often been shot before in white bikinis. I'd also say that I've noticed Kim's head is noticeably small for her body. Some people have bigger heads, some have smaller heads, and Kim's is clearly smaller. Make of that what you will."
If the photo was doctored, Kardashian was not to blame. According to her rep, she was neither aware of the photo being used for Us Weekly's cover, nor did her or her people approve it.
"We didn't do a US Weekly cover," the rep said. "I haven't seen it yet. I'm told they have used paparazzi shots."
The rep said that photo was probably taken in Miami during Thanksgiving weekend.
"I don't think that is someone else's body with her head on it, but it does look heavily retouched," another unnamed photo editor said.
