Famed comedian, actor and Philadelphia native Kevin Hart is partnering with the United Negro College Fund to donate $50,000 scholarships to four high school seniors from his hometown.

E! News reports the "Get Hard" star selected the winners based on their GPAs and expressed need for financial assistance to further their educations. In addition to the scholarship money, the recipients will also be flown to Atlanta for the "UNCF Evening of Stars" event hosted by actor and "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson on April 26.

"This is me stepping up to the plate and saying what you're doing is dope," said Hart. "You're dope. You've got the opportunity to be the dopest of all dopetivity."

According to Philly, Hart also later chimed, "My money went to a much more useful cause than what I would have been doing with it at a strip club."

The 35-year-old comedian was honored with the MTV Genius Award at the MTV Movie Awards on April 12. He attended the event with his daughter, who he accepted the award with on stage. According to E! News, Hart thanked his fiancée, as well as his ex-wife.

Hart explained that without his ex-wife, he would not have his two children, who are currently his best friends.

"Heaven for being the most amazing daughter, Hendrix for being the most amazing son," he said in his speech. "My kids, I'm doing all of this for them. I'm trying to leave a legacy for them."

Though he chose to focus on his family for most of the speech, Hart did not forget his fans. He simply dedicated the award to them and told them he loved them.

Hart's daughter was seen looking bored during the Amy Schumer-hosted event. A Vine video shows her looking less than impressed. Meanwhile, her daughter sits beside her smiling and clapping.
