Dulce María made the most of an encounter with actor Jamie Foxx when the two shared a moment at this year's Kids' Choice Awards, the Mexican actress and singer-songwriter revealed on her Instagram account.

The 29-year-old former RBD star and the 47-year old Academy Awards winner posed back-to-back for a funny picture that shows Dulce María forming a gun with her hands. The young singer, who took home Nickelodeon's recognition in the "Favorite Latin Artist" category, commented that "Mr. Jamie Foxx" was a "great guy." 

Both the award and the chance encounter mark happier news for the Mexico City native, who earlier this month had told a local newspaper that she was "addicted to work" but is now trying to live a happier, more balanced life, according to Es Más Espectaculos.

"I quit doing telenovelas and many other things for a while because I noticed that I needed to pick my projects carefully," said the actress, whose full name is Dulce María Espinosa Saviñón. "When I was part of RBD, that did not happen; I did not have a single day off between novelas, tours, autographs and the group," she added.

Things have improved markedly ever since she embarked on her solo career, however, Dulce María noted.

"When I started as a soloist, I knew that I did not need to work like a crazy woman," she said, "without having time for myself, for my life; and it was because of that that I decided to focus on one project at a time," the singer concluded.

Jamie Foxx, for his part, made headlines beyond the Mexican's Twitter account because of rumors romantically linking him to Katie Holmes, Vanity Fair noted: A photo of the two holding hands "raises lots of questions," the magazine said.

The "Ray" star and Tom Cruise's ex-girlfriend have had a "secret romance" for the past year-and-a-half, Us Weekly alleged. According to the magazine, Foxx originally wooed the 36-year-old actress at a benefit in the Hamptons.

And "what started as a fling ... has since become a long-term attraction" the magazine insisted, though there was no word of Holmes having been spotted at the Kids' Choice Awards.
