Janelle Monae released a new music video, "Yoga," on Monday, April, 13.

Since the video's debut, Monae has retweeted the positive messages she's received from her fans about the music video and song that celebrates yoga and women with the #FreetheNipple lyric, "Get off my areola."

However, one social media user whose Twitter handle is @mellow_saa criticized Monae for being too soulful and not sexy enough, Time reports.

"girl stop being so soulful and be sexy..tired of those dumbass suits..you fine but u too damn soulful man," the Twitter user wrote and later deleted.

Monae responded to the tweet by telling the user to sit down and explained that her body and sexuality are not for male consumption.

Time reports that Monae's response to the Twitter user has managed to garner over 2,200 retweets in 24 hours. "Yoga" is the first single from Monae's label compilation EP, "The Eephus," which will drop later this year, The Verge reports. And though Monae prides herself on not being overtly sexual with her clothing, she does channel a more sultry side in her "Yoga" music video, as she bares her midriff and performs sexy dance moves while doing yoga. The song features Monae's new artist, Jidenna, who raps on the track and "Dear White People" star Tessa Thompson, who dances alongside Monae in the video.

Following the release of her music video, Monae posted a long Instagram message thanking her cast and crew on the set of the video. She revealed that the video was shot in Atlanta with the help of her close friends.
