V. Stiviano Net Worth: Donald Sterling's Mistress Must Return $1.8M Duplex, Cash and Luxury Cars to Shelly Sterling
Donald Sterling's wife, Shelly Sterling, will get some of the gifts and cash that Donald gave to mistress V. Stiviano, a judge decided Tuesday, according to USA Today.
The judge will force Stiviano to surrender a $1.8 million duplex and return $800,000 in cash and gifts, such as luxury cars to Shelly Sterling. The gifts were given to Stiviano by Donald during the relationship between the two.
Shelly claimed that the much-yougner Stiviano seduced her 80-year-old husband. Shelly says that Stiviano convinced Donald to give up property that the two of them acquired in more than six decades of marriage.
Shelly's attorney, Pierce O'Donnell, says that his client is "thrilled with the decision."
Shelly's award is a small victory over the woman who caused her much shame and embarrassment. Stiviano spent time with Shelly's husband in public and even told others that she was the "next Mrs. Sterling." Stiviano made audio tapes with private conversations between her and Sterling public. In those tapes, Sterling made some racist comments.
Once the tapes were released, Sterling was ousted from the NBA and lost his ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Shelly Sterling testified last month and said that Stiviano "took us both down." She added: "We lost the team. They were like another child."
Stiviano and her attorney tried to argue that Donald gave her the gifts when Donald and his wife were separated. Stiviano and her attorney, Mac Nehoray, plan to appeal the decision.
Shelly was able to negotiate a sale of the Clippers for $2 billion to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.
Sterling tried to block the sale by his wife and has sued her and the NBA in federal court.
In court against Stiviano, the couple united and said they said loved each other.
During the trial, little was found out about the relationship between Donald and Stiviano. Shelly insisted that Stiviano was Sterling's mistress.
Stiviano and Donald denied having a sexual relationship. Instead, Stiviano considered Donald a father figure and lover to her.
Donald now calls Stiviano an "ex-friend." He could not believe that Shelly called her husband estranged at one point.
Shelly says that Donald was nasty to her and took advantage of her husband's wealth to get lavish gifts and money. Stiviano called Shelly the "Wicked Witch of the West" and said she hated her.
