The first season of this hilarious new comedy about Phil, who was thought to be the last man on Earth until four women and another man enter his life, takes advantage of his mostly solitary existence and comically lives out his life in a post-apocalyptic world that has been ravaged by some unknown disease.

According to an article on Vulture, in the last two episodes, which aired back-to-back last Sunday, Phil went shopping for Carol, started a fire and asked God for a "do-over." The timing could not have been more perfect because that is the moment when Erica (Cleopatra Coleman) and Gail (Mary Steenburgen) show up.

Phil, in an all to common fashion, immediately lies to them and said he is all alone in Tucson. He follows them home and they have dinner and drinks, where Phil characteristically offends them. He then wins them over with a fake story about his dead wife. They end up skinny-dipping and just like any other great sitcom, they get caught by Carol, Melissa and Todd.

In the twin episode that followed it, Phil tries to lie and apologize his way out of the situation, but Carol does not want anything to do with it. At least, not until he starts revealing the truths about how he feels and the reasons he's done the things he's done. In the end, Carol grants Phil a divorce and they seem to be on good terms.

That is where we enter the upcoming episode, which is titled "Moved to Tampa" and will air on April 19 on Fox. In a promotional video for the episode, Phil is relishing his newly acquired freedom as a single man and he embarks on a journey to date and bed women in a repetitive fashion. Carol is also seen in a jealous form as she quickly tells Gail that she will be enjoying her "sloppy seconds."

Critics of the show have given it generally positive reviews, according to Rotten Tomatoes. The show has also been picked up for a second season, according to an article on TV.com.
