Christmas time is here and gifts need to be purchased. So fire up that Amazon account of yours and get spending. Here are some great gift ideas for any budget.

Xbox One and PS4

Undoubtedly the hottest selling gadgets of late 2013, these new game systems do just about everything.

Now why are these systems so hard to get? Simply every kid wants one and for good reason. The Xbox One has amazing voice commands thanks to Kinect and it completely takes over your cable TV. Your kids could be watching cartoons one minute and jump into a game the next simply by telling the Xbox to switch to a game.

The PS4 is great alternative to the $500 Xbox One. For starters it retails at $400, a saving of $100. That additional saving can nearly buy an online gaming membership and an extra controller. A cool feature of the PS4 is the ability to upgrade the systems hard drive if you ever run out of space! It doesn't void the warranty and it is super easy to do. You will be a hit if you gift these awesome gaming machines.

Nexus 7 (2013)

Do you want the ultimate tablet experience complete with a silky smooth web browser, great apps and a beautiful widescreen display? Well look no further than Google's Nexus 7. Its chief competitor the iPad Mini with Retina Display retails for $399 while the Nexus goes for $229. If your relatives have a Google account and use things like Gmail, Google Docs and YouTube a lot, this is the tablet for them. It's excellent battery life of around 6 hours will be sure to please.

Clothes and Jewelry

This is a tough category because everyone has wildly different tastes. Grabbing a pair of designer skinny jeans or a Pandora charm bracelet is an easy way to show you care. Just be sure to get a gift receipt!

Chocolate

Your wife will love you if you get her chocolate. Chocolatiers like Godiva sell Fondue sets for as low as $29.99. This is the only gift where you can actually get a return on your investment. Nobody ever eats fondue alone, unless they are going through a midlife crisis.

Gift cards

You really can't go wrong here. Gift cards are a great alternative to plain old cash because it actually shows that you went out and shopped around for the perfect gift. The holiday season has some of the highest fuel prices of the year and someone will sure love you for helping them save a buck or two.
