Conan O'Brien's sidekick, Andy Richter, got his hands on an Apple Watch before the device was available to the public.

Richter seemed really proud of his new device and wanted to show it off to O'Brien on "Conan." 

He said Apple sent him the device early so that he could wear it on the show. With the Apple Watch, Ritcher was able to receive texts and learn how many steps he had taken that day. He then pressed a button to find out how many steps he had taken and tells the audience it was four. 

O'Brien was skeptical about the watch and joked it was a lot of technology for just a watch.

"Not at all, it's great!" Ritcher said. 

O'Brien, still skeptical, asked Richter to tell him what time it was. Richter said it is easy to find out the time and that all he has to do is lift his arm.

Unfortunately, Richter runs into some troubles with the motion and is not able to get the device to tell him what time it is. Richter then said that he must have done something incorrectly. 

"It's a watch! It shouldn't be this hard to find out what time it is!" O'Brien said.

Richter then said he must have closed down the time app and he had to re-open it. Then, the device froze on him, and he has to restart it two more times. Both times the familiar Macintosh start-up tune plays. 

O'Brien becomes very frustrated waiting for such a basic function from the Apple Watch. 

"What time is it?" O'Brien asked.

Instead, Siri hears O'Brien and said, "I've found four recipes for lime biscuit."

O'Brien gets impatient at this point and Richter tried to get Siri to give him the time. This resulted in the watch playing a song and then calling someone named Tim E.

By then, O'Brien had given up on trying to find out the time.

Finally, Richter resorted to calling customer support. After realizing there other callers ahead of him, he hung up, finally dunking the device in a cup of water after all the pain and hassle of trying to figure out what time it was.
