Ashley Tisdale Hot New Single: You're Always Here Dedicated to Late Grandfather [VIDEO]
Ashley Tisdale's new track "Your Always Here" dropped today and it's a deeply heartfelt song. The former High School Musical star dedicated the track to her late Grandfather Arnold whom she affectionately called Pop Pop.
The song is powered by Tisdale's powerful vocals, which seem to be lacking the customary post-processing inherent in many big releases today. The raw emotion of her voice is really moving and refreshing. Tisdale's fiancé Christopher French helped her make the track. Tisdale let fans know the meaning behind the song in a series of tweets leading up to the songs release earlier today.
Do you really dig the song and feel like getting your karaoke on? Here are the lyrics courtesy of Just Jared:
Tisdale's amazing tribute to her late Grandfather is her first single to be released in nearly 4 years! The star surely wanted to make sure the track accurately reflected how much her dear grandfather meant to her.
"With all the amazing stuff that's happened this year, some moments haven't been so amazing. I lost my grandfather exactly three months ago and it's always hard to lose someone," Tisdale told Ryan Seacrest. After the death, "I was inspired to start writing and it was helping me heal and I would go on walks and come home and have written stuff and Chris [French], who produces music, sat down and produced and we wrote this song together and that's the song for my grandfather."
Now don't expect an album to be announced anytime soon. After all this was a music industry comeback for the gorgeous blond. The past few years has seen the multi-talented Tisdale focus on growing her film and TV career. Her longest running role is Candace on Phineas and Ferb. Other prominent roles include Savannah Monroe on Hellcats, two episodes of Sons of Anarchy and an upcoming animated film titled "The Great Migration".
If you really want to own the song for yourself be sure to pick it up on iTunes. 30% of the proceeds will go towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. How sweet of her!
