Big Sean and Ariana Grande have reportedly signed off on their relationship of eight months.

According to HollywoodLife, the two recently admitted going their separate ways in a joint statement, largely based on their busy schedules, which have frequently prevented them from spending as much time with one another as they might otherwise.

"We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time," reps for the two requested in a statement released to the media.

The 21-year-old Grande and the 27-year-old rapper began dating late last year after they spent time together working on new music. In the time that they dated, the two frequently and openly expressed their deeply held feelings for one another.

As recently as early last month, the two appeared on stage together during a a stop on Grande's Honeymoon tour, where they openly and passionately kissed while on stage.

But in recent times, the tension between the two seems to have been mounting, including an incident earlier this month where Grande appeared on stage with Justin Bieber and the 21-year-old crooner appeared more than just a little hands on with her.

"He's pissed," a source told HollywoodLife of Big Sean's reaction to it all. "He gets that they're performing and all that, but he did not like the way Justin was touching Ariana. He thinks he's way too cocky and needs to be taken down a notch."

Back then, Bieber's actions were also rumored to have grabbed the attention of ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, who a source admitted to the website "checked it out."

Since then, Gomez and boyfriend DJ Zedd have also suffered through their own struggles, with several media outlets recently reporting the two have also called it quits and gone their separate ways.
