Rihanna and Chris Brown: Judge Revokes Probation Despite Breezy's Progress with New Medication; Will He Get Back with Rihanna?
A judge has revoked Chris Brown's probation due to his October arrest in Washington, D.C. The singer, who has been on probation since his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna has violated his "no police contact" terms over and over. The judge handling Brown's case did not send him to jail because he is finally showing progress at the rehab center where he was sent.
Brown appeared before his Los Angeles County Supreme Court judge on Monday, accompanied by his current girlfriend Karrueche Tran (the girl that he goes back to when he's not with Rihanna). The judge has decided to revoke the singer's probation, having him return for a hearing on Feb. 10th, to then decide if he will serve jail time. Chris was arrested on an assault charge in Washington D.C. Oct. 27 for punching a man after he and his buddy "photo bombed" Brown and two ladies taking a picture.
The "Fine China" singer then attacked his own mother's car after becoming angry at a family session. Judge James Brandlin, having had enough of Brown's reckless behavior while still on probation for the Rihanna case, finally ordered Chris into a residential rehab program. However, a report submitted to the judge by Brown's probation officer includes a letter from the rehab facility saying that he "has made significant progress" since starting the program on Nov. 20.
The program director's letter raving about the troubled star's effective change also reads: "The clinical and medical team have witnessed very positive change in Mr. Brown since his psychotropic medications have been changed and he has been taken off medical marijuana." It continues: "His ability to emotionally regulate himself has improved markedly". Wait... he was really subscribed the weed? This report was the reason why Judge Brandlin decided not to send Brown to jail saying, "I'm pleased that he's doing well."
According to a probation report obtained by CNN, Chris Brown has an "anger-management problem and drug-abuse issues" so to see the star finally make some progress is great news. It does make us wonder what medications they have put Brown on and how this will affect him as an artist and person. Some of these "personality adjusting" medications tend to have some pretty serious side affects, as we have noticed on other artists (who have become lifeless and numb). We hope to not loose the good parts of Chris; his upbeat personality has always been what "team breezy" really loves about the singer.
Brown will remain in the rehab center as he completes his three-month sentence and only leaves three days a week to work eight-hour shifts of community labor. Chris will not be home for Christmas and there are still no signs of his mother at court appearances. Rihanna hasn't been back to visit Brown since the last time she was seen there. It seems like Karrueche is holding on tight and plans to not let Rihanna take her man away, especially not now that he is making progress in controlling his anger.
