In the season finale of "Scorpion," Walter (Elyes Gabel) miraculously survives a Mulholland Drive crash that leaves his vehicle perilously hanging over a cliff and Paige (Katharine McPhee) celebrates his survival by blessing him with a kiss.

TV Line reports much ground is covered between those two points of the show, with the gang pulling out all the tricks to save Walter prior to him arriving at the hospital and Paige paying him her heartfelt visit.

After being able to track down Walter's teetering vehicle using his VIN number, Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Sylvester (Ari Stidham) quickly spring into effort in a desperate attempt to save him.

First, with Walter's car in danger of being engulfed in flames, Happy someone figures how to drain all the flammable liquids from the vehicle by using a syringe dart she's quickly crafted.

From there, Toby devises a scheme to slow down all the blood oozing from Walter's wounds by having him stich it up "using a silver pen that he basically has to stick into his spleen."

After what seems like a lifetime of other life-hanging-in-the-balance moments later, the gang is able to get Walter to the hospital, where Paige and Ralph join them after learning of Walter's ordeal by watching a TV news report.

SpoilerTV reports the "Postcards From the Edge" episode was written by Executive Producers Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton and guest stars Leigh-Ann Rose as Darla, Michael Wiseman as the fire chief, Eric Davis as Officer Kinkirk and Richard Pierre-Louis as the cop.

Earlier this year, CBS execs announced "Scorpion" will be returning for a second season. Back then, the show was ranked as the third most-watched new series of the season, averaging just under 15 million viewers.

"Scorpion" also stars Eddie Kaye Thomas as Toby Curtis.
