Among those top ten games listed include one in particular that sticks out: NBA 2K14. The game had enormous hype and then it followed through by destroying its competitors while maintaining a stronghold in the sports gaming market. The once arcade-like 2K Sports series has grown to become one of the most reliable and realistic sports games in history.

Jason Argent, who is the SVP of basketball operations for 2K, talked about the expectations when the game was released and the reception that it has had since then.
