'Modern Family' Season 6 Episode 20 Spoilers: Jay Subs For Cam on an All-Gay Bowling Team
After nearly a month hiatus from the ABC airwaves, "Modern Family" is back with five all-new episodes leading up to the finale on May 20.
Speculation about the romance between Haley, played by Sarah Hyland, and Andy has run rampant.
In an interview with E! News, Sarah Hyland said she actually sees the situation between her character and Andy as a complicated "Ross and Rachel" situation, which basically means they are destined to be together but the storyline keeps dragging out and the relationship keeps getting put further and further out.
According to International Business Times, in the next episode, titled "Knock 'Em Down," viewers will find out that Cam has enlisted Jay (Ed O'Neill) to sub in for him on his bowling team. But what Jay doesn't know is that it is an all-gay team, which leaves him uncomfortable.
In other events, Claire and Phil have reached a more reasonable opinion of their neighbors, considering they're loud and quite obnoxious. They did, however, prove to be compassionate (and very patient) to them when they needed someone to entertain Phil's father and friends.
Also, when Haley goes clubbing, Gloria and Mitchell tag along in an effort to prove they are still hip to trending and cool styles. But a surprise may be in order for them when they learn of the pre-party rituals.
As reported on Christian Post, we last saw the extended Pritchett clan on April 1 with the episode "Grill, Interrupted," which was patriarch Jay's birthday. Phil bought him a hi-tec outdoor grill, but much to his chagrin, Jay is more keen to using his old grill because he doesn't want to learn all the new gadgets and features of the new one.
Mitchell and Claire also devise a plan to offer their Dad his money back from when they loaned it to them to purchase their homes. Phil overhears the conversation and knew nothing of it in the beginning. He later gives Jay a check to cover the debt.
