White House Correspondents' Dinner 2015 Video: Celebrities, Sports Figures and Politicians Get Together to Joke and Socialize
The White House Correspondents' Dinner is a chance for politicians, celebrities and sports figures to mix together in one venue. Most of this year's dinner, held Saturday evening, was focused on making jokes and having a good time with President Barack Obama and fellow politicians.
The dinner was hosted by comedienne Cecily Strong. Strong spent her time on stage making jokes about Obama, the Secret Service, first lady Michelle Obama and more.
With Strong's jokes, almost no one was safe at facing a wise crack.
Strong took a shot at the Secret Service by saying they are "the only law enforcement agency that actually gets in trouble if a black guy gets shot."
Strong was quick to point out that during his term, Obama has shown signs of aging.
"Your hair is so white now, it can talk back to the police," she joked.
Strong also made a joke about first lady Michelle Obama.
"It is a dream to sit next to you, but it is a nightmare to eat next to you," Strong said about Michelle Obama.
President Obama got his chance to make quite a few jokes as well. He was able to make jokes on Vice President Joe Biden, former Vice President Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton and more.
Obama took a stab at his own vice president, Joe Biden, when he said, "The fact is, I feel more loose and relaxed than ever. Those Joe Biden shoulder massages are like magic. You should try one. ... Oh, you have?"
He also poked fun at former Vice President Dick Cheney when he said, "Dick Cheney says I'm the worst president of his lifetime. Which is interesting, because I think Dick Cheney is the worst president of my lifetime. What a coincidence."
Obama knows his term is coming to an end and that Hillary Clinton wants to take his position in 2016, so he had to use a joke on her.
"I have one friend. Just a few weeks ago, she was making millions of dollars a year, and now she's living out of a van in Iowa."
Also in attendance at the dinner were Katie Couric, Donald Trump, journalist Al Roker, actress Lucy Liu, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and many more.
