Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill Dating Update 2015: Couple Is Not Engaged
As shocking as it sounds, Nicki Minaj and rumored boyfriend Meek Mill are reportedly not engaged.
Just two weeks ago, the Trinidadian emcee stirred up engagement rumors, taking to her social media accounts to tease that she and the Philly rapper got engaged.
A few hours after tweeting a diamond ring emoji with the words, "I'll post it later," Minaj shared the close-up photo of the actual heart-shaped bling on Instagram.
At the time, Morgan Shara of MASbisjoux jewelry told E! News the yellow diamond that has two rows of white pavé diamonds surrounding the heart shape appears to be 15 carats. The ring has been valued at about $500,000.
"The wedding will likely happen sooner rather than later," a source revealed to the publication.
The source added that Meek wants to make sure the supposed ceremony is "perfect" and "a fairy tale come true" for his rumored bride-to-be.
Also, Drake seemingly confirmed the "Buy a Heart" duo's engagement at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Minaj made a surprise guest appearance during his set.
"Coachella, you gotta make some noise for like the love of my life. I love this girl right here. We family forever," Drizzy introduced his Young Money label-mate.
When Minaj came up onstage rocking her gigantic ring, the duo embraced each other. The "6 God" rapper then congratulated his "Truffle Butter" collaborator, although he did not specify what she had achieved.
"Congratulations and all that, you know what I'm saying," he said.
However, Urban Islandz recently reported that the couple is not engaged, and there is no wedding on the way.
A source insisted that although Minaj loves the expensive jewelry she received from Meek, "it's not an engagement ring."
"No, they are not engaged so there is no wedding," another source said, adding that the only thing Minaj is currently focused on is her upcoming "The Pinkprint" North American tour.
