Kim Kardashian Baby No. 2: Reality Star Reportedly Not Sold on Hiring Surrogate, Hasn't Seriously Considered Adoption
Kanye West's wife, Kim Kardashian, admits she's still having a hard time getting pregnant with what would be the couple's second child but insists she's not ready to use a surrogate and the two haven't discussed adoption.
The reality TV show star recently sat down with NBC's Matt Lauer to talk about her new selfie book "Selfish," but Gossip Cop reports it wasn't long before she and the host were involved in a full-throttled conversation about her family life.
"They have recommended to me to get a surrogate and I would like to hold out a little bit longer and still try," she said. "I still have hope so I'm just going to keep on trying. We haven't talked about adopting."
With her and West encroaching upon their first wedding anniversary, Lauer quizzed her about the three things most couples fight most about: money, sex and children.
While Kardashian said none of those are issues for the couple, she admitted they do occasionally butt heads over how to be "strict" with their young daughter. She later added her hip hop husband is all about "safety issues," even about things she's convinced they are years away from things that could even remotely be on baby North's radar.
Through it all, Kardashian assured the host she is not "self-obsessed" with the idea of being Kim Kardashian.
"I can understand how someone would say that you must be really vain if you're taking selfies all day long or wanting photos of yourself," she said, adding there's a bit of an "ego" involved. "To me, it's just really about capturing a memory."
As for her adding to her family, Kardashian added, "I'm seeing the best doctors and I'm trying to do everything that I can to make that happen."
