Tori Spelling & Candy Spelling: Reality Star & Her Mom Put Differences Aside to Support Family Member at Book Signing
Tori Spelling and her mom, Candy, recently put their massive differences aside in support of her brother, Randy, during his new book signing.
Radar reports the new book is entitled "Unlimiting You," and the author posed with Spelling's four children during the recent book signing.
Spelling and her mom have been feuding for years now, with the former "Beverly Hills 90210" star appearing on a 2014 episode of "Access Hollywood Live" to deliver a no-holds bar assessement of their clearly troubled relationship.
"There's not currently much of a relationship," Tori shared back then. "Yeah, there's not much communication either way. ... She hasn't called me, either."
Spelling later shared her views on what a mother-daughter relationship should be like, rationalizing she's convinced the biggest thing is accepting the relationship for what it is, not what you may lone for it to be.
According to Us Weekly, the pair's problems with one another go back far longer than a couple of years and stem from their mutual affinity for Tori's father, the late TV legend Aaron Spelling.
The "True Tori" star readily admits she was a "daddy's girl" and now realizes he always seemed to be positioning himself as good cop in her and her mom's troubled relationship.
She later added, "I think he created a lot of the competition between us. He was the good guy, so everyone vied for his attention, and a lot of that attention went from her to all me."
During the period where Tori infamously struggled with her finances and in her relationship with husband Dean McDermott, Candy insists she offered her daughter "both financial and emotional support."
A rep also told the magazine, "Candy has provided financial help in the past and has offered repeatedly to pay for the children's private schooling and Tori has never told her where to send the money. Candy reaches so often to see them and unfortunately Tori and Dean are not responsive."
