The Showtime hit series "Masters of Sex" has welcomed new actors to come in and play the roles of Virginia Johnson's (Lizzy Caplan) daughter. This is not due to a conflict with the previous actress, but rather a reflection of the time jump.

The show has been very adaptive to jumping through time from season-to-season. Season 3 is set to premiere in 1966, which was a long time from the last we saw of them in 1961 at the end of Season 2. It is rapidly advancing into the era known for the sexual revolution, which Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson both played a role in.

So the new actress brought in to replace Virginia's daughter has to be age-appropriate to the time jump, which caused the recasting. According to a report on Deadline, Isabelle Fuhrman has been selected to play her daughter, Tessa.

Season 3 finds our main characters, Bill and Virginia, in the middle of a national spotlight brought about from the publicity they received in Season 2. Their work will soon be brought to the forefront, as it will have a profound impact on the pending sexual revolution, which will also usher in the counter-culture era. It will force a more revealing look at contemporary marriage at the time, which the three-way marriage of Bill, Virginia and Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald) becomes a more involved plotline.

Also being recast as Bill's son is Jaeden Lieberher ("St. Vincent"), according to Variety.

According to Deadline, Helene Yorke is set to make a return since she was absent last season due to scheduling conflicts with her stage acting. She will be reprising the role of Jane Martin, who played a major role in Season 1 as the first person whom Virginia recruits for the sex study.

Paste Magazine also reports that Maggie Grace has signed on for Season 3 to portray Dr. Christine Welsh. Welch will help Bill and Virginia with an upcoming case that could potentially have an international impact.
