PS4 vs. Xbox One Availability, Games, News, Price, Comparison 2013: Which Game Console Should You Buy Before Christmas? [POLL]
The holiday season is upon us and video game hunters are faced with a very important question: buy an Xbox One or a PlayStation 4?
Microsoft and Sony are embroiled in an intense console war that has seesawed back and forth for several months dating back to even before the November launches. While most devices and platforms in the tech and video game industry tend to have a clear-cut leader in sales and quality, this is not the case with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Shoppers will be rushing to the store on Christmas Eve but many of them will be parents and others who are not the recipients of the gifts and therefore are not entirely familiar with the differences between the two consoles. Should you buy the cheaper option (the PlayStation 4) or what many people are calling an all-in-one entertainment center (Xbox One).
Where do I buy an Xbox One or PlayStation 4?
Surprisingly enough, Best Buy is still offering a deal in which shoppers can purchase the game console now and pick it up at a store by Christmas. Otherwise, the game consoles are so scarce at this point that you should expect to come up empty handed if you're looking to get one as soon as Christmas Day. However, the good news is that you can get an Xbox One or PS4 online from Walmart and pick it up by as early as Dec. 30. Walmart also has preorders available.
Which game console should I buy?
The debate will rage on for months unless one game console ends up seeing a significant slip in sales, which is highly unlikely at this point. For those of you who have already purchased one of the next generation game consoles, which one did you buy? If you have yet to purchase one but you hope to sometime in the not too distant future, which one do you prefer? Vote in the poll and let us know in the comments section!
