Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick Expecting First Child Together This Fall
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker and former tennis star Andy Roddick are expecting their first child later this year.
People magazine reports spokespeople for Decker confirm the couple are slated to have their first child sometime this fall. The 28-year-old model turned actress initially broke the news of their pending status as parents on her Instagram page, posting a picture of her baby belly under the caption "so this happened."
Decker, who is slated to star in the upcoming Netflix show "Grace and Frankie," and Roddick have been married for more than six years and up until now have resided in Texas with just their two bulldogs: Billie Jean King and Bob Costas.
Still, Decker has long been on the record about her desire to start a family, telling People as far back as 2014, "I love kids. I definitely want kids. I just have to figure out the timing of that."
Indeed, the next several weeks are shaping up as a busy time for the couple, with Decker's Netflix show set to premiere on May 8, and Roddick, now a Fox Sports host, slated to soon host his annual Andy Roddick Foundation Gala.
Once rising to the ranking as No. 1 player in the world, the 32-year-old Roddick became a Grand Slam singles champ in 2003 by winning the U.S. Open. He remains the last North American based player to win a Grand Slam singles event.
In all, the hard-serving Roddick advanced to play in four Grand Slam finals, three of them at Wimbledon. Currently, Roddick competes for the Austin Aces in World Team Tennis.
People adds Elton John, who performed at the couple's wedding, will serve as the night's entertainment at Roddick's foundation gala.
