Madden NFL 16 will feature a new cover athlete and it is down to four finalists. Rob Gronkowski, Patrick Peterson, Odell Beckham Jr. and Antonio Brown are all in competition to grace the cover of the latest Madden football simulator video game, Polygon reports. 

Gronkowski is the New England Patriot's talented tight end. He is big and fast and very difficult to defend. The Super Bowl champion has received support in previous Madden cover voting and is a favorite to be on the cover this year. If Gronkowski is chose as the cover athlete, he will be the first tight end featured on a cover of Madden.

Beckham Jr. is the New York Giant's second-year wide receiver who made jaws drop with his amazing catches during his rookie year. 

Peterson is the Arizona Cardinal's cornerback. He is considered one of the best cover corners in the league. In just four seasons, Peterson has picked off 15 passes. In previous voting sessions, Peterson has not received many votes.

Antonio Brown is the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver. He is fast and physical and can always be a deep threat. Because Brown plays for a smaller-market team, he has not received many votes in previous voting sessions for the cover.

In previous years, voters were given a much larger player pool to choose from when selecting a cover athlete. In 2013, 64 current and former players were all in competition for the cover. For Madden 15, only 16 players were voted on for the cover.

The voting methods will change a little as well. EA Sports wants voters to play their games to earn votes. Playing Madden NFL Mobile will allow users to earn one vote per day. In-game events will allow them to earn more votes. Madden 15 game players can access the Madden Ultimate Team to earn votes. Right away, they will receive one vote, but they can earn up to four extra votes by completing Solo Challenges, Gamespot reports.
