‘Mad Men’ Season 7, Episode 13 Spoilers: Pete Spirals, Betty and Henry Are at Odds
In this episode of "Mad Men," "The Milk and Honey Route," the AMC promo, which was incredibly vague, seemed to be centered around Pete and his many adventures outside of the SC&P offices, which includes romances and old relationships.
It also revealed that there may be some turmoil or even apprehension between Betty and Henry, which could have some very "old school" repercussions given that Betty has recently shown her feminist side, including her desire for an education.
Details of upcoming episodes are notoriously vague. Even cast and crew are compelled to secrecy by the network and the show's creator, Matthew Weiner.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica Paré, who plays Megan Draper on the show, was asked about her role in this half of the season. But more specifically, she was asked if the rumors were true that she was to fall victim to the Manson family.
"Well, obviously, I still can't say anything," Paré said with a laugh. The actress recently gave birth to a baby boy just before the premier party.
Variety did an interview with last week's show director, Phil Abraham. The show, "Lost Horizon," featured the clan going about their new day at McCann, but each one has a solo identity now and rarely cross paths. The episode also saw the resignation and cash out of Joan, as well as the drunken stupor that Roger and Peggy shared late one night.
"She's (Christina Hendricks) so strong-willed and I thought such a worthy adversary to (Hobart). I remember going through those scenes with her," Abraham said in regards to Joan's scenes.
"Those are long scenes, there's a lot of words. We talked about the emotion and the lack of emotion she would need to go toe to toe with the big boss. It was great. (Actor H. Richard Greene) was fantastic as well. The two of them played off each other so well. That scene stole the show for me. The dance they dance. It's been a year since we shot it so it was great to watch it."
