In Thursday's episode of “Elementary,” titled “Absconded,” Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) will investigate the mysterious death of a member of Holmes’ online beekeeping community, who happens to be researching a deadly Northeast honey bee outbreak.

As reported by TV Equals, during the course of the team’s investigation, they will meet Tara Parker (Sutton Foster), the beautiful and brilliant “Queen Bee” of New York’s beekeeping society.

In the episode, which will lead right into the drug related issues surrounding the season finale, Captain Gregson (Aidan Quinn) will require Watson’s services in an off-the-books investigation, which will lead him toward a life-changing decision.

In an interview in North Jersey, Quinn, who until very recently might have best known for his movie roles in films like “The Mission” and “Practical Magic,” said that despite his normal habit of not watching himself on screen, he makes a special case for "Elementary."

The Irish-American actor started to watch the series, as he does not play that lead and would not be too hard on his own acting, and found that he got right into the action.

“I love the acerbic, dark, black wit that Jonny gets to roll around his mouth and have fun with, and Lucy's sincerity ... her making him deal with reality and his own emotional situation — and the odd, funny, comic situations that they get into. And there's a kind of under-the-radar, real affection and respect that they have for each other, which, I think, is just lovely to watch," said Quinn.

Episode 23 of Season 3 airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on the CBS Television Network. The season finale airs May 14.
