Watch NBA Live Stream Christmas 2013: New York Knicks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
The New York Knicks are hoping to get back on track in an exciting Christmas Day game against the talented Oklahoma City Thunder.
However, the 9-18 Knicks could have even more of an uphill battle as their leading scorer, Carmelo Anthony, could be sidelined after spraining an ankle.
"Hopefully I'll be there," Anthony said, according to ESPN. "I don't want to miss that game. It's Christmas in the Garden. I don't want to miss that game."
Anthony's teammates, such as J.R. Smith, voiced concerns about how the team would manage to get by without their leading scorer. Furthermore, the team will also be without point guard Raymond Felton in the game.
"I'm concerned (about Anthony), but I'm not as worried about him as I'm worried about Ray, the way he came back and then to go down again. It's tough. He's our point guard, for sure."
"Losses happen in this league," Durant said. "They beat us fair and square, you know? We missed some shots, too. I think our defense was good. They got some shots late in the fourth quarter that helped them a little bit but I think our defense was good. We were swarming them and they hit some tough ones, too, but we missed some good looks."
Kevin Durant leads Oklahoma City with 28 points her game while Russell Westbrook is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game for the team. Oklahoma City is looking to win their 17th game in their last 19 decisions.
